Gas Pressure Regulator
The Flow-Tek FT-LPRV Gas Back Pressure Regulator is specially designed for accurate low-pressure gas control. The FT-LPRV operates in conjunction with low-pressure tank blanketing systems to maintain consistent tank pressure and ensure reliable gas management.
Applicable Standards
- Design Standard: As per manufacturer’s standard
- Face-to-Face Dimension: As per manufacturer’s standard
- End Connections: Flanged ends conforming to ANSI, DIN, BS, JIS, IS etc
- Testing Standard: API 598 / ANSI FCI 70-2-2006 (Control Valve Leakage Standard)
The LPRV is designed to safely relieve excess gas from storage tanks, preventing blanketing pressure from exceeding safe operating limits. It maintains a controlled, minimal flow to ensure the protective gas blanket remains stable and effective. As the tank is filled and vapor space decreases, the valve automatically opens to discharge displaced gas. Proper sizing requires determining the maximum filling rate so the regulator can vent the necessary gas volume while maintaining the specified blanketing pressure. The Mark 508 is also suitable for various low back-pressure gas control applications beyond tank blanketing systems.
Features
